Dating sears guitars

It's a Kay acoustic arch top 6 string with F holes. It has a Kay V and Kay pick guard that I haven't been able to find in pictures. Does anybody know any history on this guitar and what it might be worth ? For a guitar-builder-handyman it would be a great project resulting in a unique 80's instrument. In addition to being sold under the Kay brand, it was also sold as a Cort, Rendano, and a no name on the headstock from Sears.
